Job Description: American Lift and Sign Service is now hiring for a full-time sign installer to join our installation team. We are looking for a motivated individual to join as an installer in which we will train you towards a journeyman status. In this position you will learn to install and service exterior signs and video boards including scoreboards. Jobs vary on a day to day basis, so flexibility is a must. We are looking for individuals who want to build a career with American Lift and Sign Service. Responsible for all aspects of the physical installation of signs, both interior and exterior under general direction. You must also be able to conduct quality assurance to ensure the proper installation and appearance of quality, accurate signs. The environment is a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and requires the consistent ability to meet all applicable requirements for the final fit and function of the customer. Experience is not required, but preferred. Willing to train the right individual. CDL A or B airbrake endorsement is desired, or eligible to get a CDL permit ASAP. Mechanical, Electrical and welding knowledge a plus. MUST BE able to work outside in the winter cold or the heat of the summer and must not be afraid of heights. You MUST be able to travel as required. Attendance and reliable transportation to work is of top importance. Requirements for hire: Must be able to pass a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations. Must be able to pass a physical and drug test Valid driver’s license is REQUIRED Must be able to travel out of town, as well as stay overnight on occasion. (Travel expenses including hotel, food and travel time are paid by the company) Must be safety conscious Know how to read a tape measure Hand and power tool knowledge Good communication skills. Ability to speak and read English fluently. Must be willing to work as a team member and get along well with others Ability to comply with our safety standards while performing work. Ability to work from ladders and to carry a ladder and/or other tools to the worksite from vehicle. Administration (OSHA) safety regulations Ability to safely use construction equipment. Ability to document installations, through photographs and written logs Skill in the practical applications of mathematics, in relation to construction and operations tasks. Experience and Skills will determine pay scale and MUST be able pass a pre employment physical and drug and alcohol test.
