BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Each year in April, the U.S. Department of Justice's Office for Victims of Crime coordinates National Crime Victims' Rights Week to promote victims' rights and services, and honor crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf. The theme for this year's 40th anniversary of NCVRW is Support Victims. Build Trust. Engage Communities. National Crime Victims' Rights Week is planned for April 18 to 24. Events will be held in Baltimore County to raise awareness about crime victims' rights, protections and services. Yeardley Love, a University of Virginia senior and native of Baltimore, was killed by her ex-boyfriend just weeks before graduation.
