MEADOWS, MD — Police said they are still looking for tips in a case involving a body found on March 13 near a road in Meadows. The next day, officers identified the victim as Sandra Faye Bradford-Bennett of District Heights. She was 68. A press release noted that troopers were called to the scene around 7:35 a.m. Saturday. Police reported that they spotted the body near the intersection of Maryland Route 4 and Dowerhouse Road. The write-up did not mention the exact location of the body. Investigators think the victim was walking near the edge of the road on southbound Route 4 when a vehicle hit her. Evidence on the scene suggested that the striking vehicle may have been a black Mercedes-Benz ML320 manufactured between 1996 and 2000, officers advised. Police informed that there were no witnesses. Troopers did not indicate when the accident happened. The Maryland State Police is still investigating. The agency asked anybody with information to call (301) 568-8101.
