ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police said they arrested a man with suspected marijuana and a loaded gun in an Annapolis parking lot last Saturday. Officers noted that the suspect had an open arrest warrant on charges of first-degree assault and gun crimes.
An officer on foot patrol spotted an adult male and an adult female parked near the hotels in the 2500 block of Riva Road, a press release added. The officer reported smelling marijuana and seeing a cloud of smoke when they approached the silver and gold Toyota around 10:10 a.m.
The write-up mentioned that the officer searched the man and the vehicle. The incident report explained that the officer found:
35 grams of suspected marijuanaA digital scaleA loaded .38-caliber Special Derringer handgunFour rounds of .38 +P ammunition $1,300 in cash Police informed that the suspect is legally prohibited from owning guns. The Anne Arundel County Police Department identified the arrestee as 29-year-old Angelo Reno Harrod of Annapolis. The woman was released without charges, officers advised.
