TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — Travis County has administered more than 717,459 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as of April 14, according to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services. As a result, 27.8% of people living in Travis County are fully vaccinated as of April 14. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna). Travis has reported 80,799 total coronavirus cases and 831 deaths since the pandemic began last March. Texas has reported 2,431,276 total cases and 48,341 deaths. The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in Texas as of April 14 are Presidio County (64.5 percent), Starr County (47 percent), Brewster County (42.7 percent), Terrel County, (42.1 percent) and Jeff Davis County (38.7 percent).
