Daily coronavirus case numbers in Colorado have surged over the past two weeks, state public health officials said. Between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon, 953 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in Colorado. As of Thursday, 485,318 cases of the coronavirus have been reported in the state among more than 2,817,000 people who have been tested since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed. Around 26,661 people have been hospitalized. More than 1.3 million are fully immunized. Around 32 percent of the state's critical care ventilators were in use as of Thursday, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
