Description
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City's Grove Street PATH Plaza was once again flooded with record vendors and crate diggers as the Jersey City Record Riots returned.
It's a sure sign of spring when the plaza is packed with Jersey City and NYC area record vendors. After a long break due to COVID-19 precautions, the record riots safely reopened on April 3, with vendors and patrons donning masks while they sifted through crates of records.
The event was hosted by Iris Records in Jersey City but featured over 30 tables of vendors who brought out records, LPs and CDs for collectors and admirers to go through. The record digs would happen on the plaza once a month before the pandemic hit. For now, the only dates scheduled for future record riots in Jersey City are June 5 and Sept. 25 according to the Record Riot website.
