JERSEY CITY, NJ — After a year when too many traditions have had to be canceled for coronavirus safety, summer camps for kids are back on this year. The state has issued updated guidance on how these camps can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic. New Jersey guidance for summer camp reopening can be found on the state website. There are several options to keep the kids busy this summer around Jersey City, including city-sponsored camps, arts camps, sports camps and more. Here's a look at the camps planned around Jersey City for summer 2021. Click on the links for registration information: The Waldo School World of ABC: 110 1st St. Jersey CityThe summer camp offers four different sessions throughout July and August for parents to choose from with multiple timing options. There are also three separate summer camp programs, one specifically for preschoolers, and one virtual and one in-person option for Kindergartners – 6th graders.Luna De Papel: 321 Communipaw Ave. Jersey CityLuna De Papel is a handcrafting art studio with a "dedicated focus on teaching practical life skills that will promote self-esteem, confidence, perseverance and patience."Boys and Girls Clubs of Hudson County: 225 Morris Boulevard Jersey CityThe Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County offers full-day camps during the summer at each of its locations in Hoboken and Jersey City. Young people are involved in a variety of engaging programs under the supervision of adult professionals, including field trips to baseball games, water parks, museums and other local attractions.The Brunswick School: 189 Brunswick St Jersey CityTBS Summer Program will be returning 2021 on the Brunswick Campus only and registration is now being accepted through April 15.
