More Pharmacies In Hoboken Have Covid Vaccine As Of Monday

HOBOKEN, NJ — Any New Jersey resident aged 16 and up is now eligible for the coronavirus vaccine as of Monday. Local officials said the county site in Kearny had 600 appointments available this week (sign up here: hudsoncovidvax.org) and local pharmacies also have the shot. Monday morning, Better Life Pharmacy on Washington and Tenth streets (see photo above) had signs up saying they had the shots with no wait. But people must sign up beforehand at betterlifepharmacy.org. For now, the state has paused use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after six reported cases of an "extremely rare" side effect across the country. In New Jersey, about 200,000 of the 5 million people who have gotten at least one shot in New Jersey received Johnson & Johnson's vaccine, but Gov. Phil Murphy expects to vaccinate 4.7 million adults in the state by June.
