Press release from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office: Maureen Parenta Apr 15 For Immediate Release: April 15, 2021 Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Bergen County Sheriff's Officer PETER SERVIDIO (DOB: 3/12/1980; single) of Paramus, NJ on a charge of Forgery. Officer SERVIDIO has been suspended without pay by his department. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti. On March 30, 2021, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office received information that on March 29, 2021, Officer PETER SERVIDIO presented a forged document to members of the Bergen County Sheriff's Office who were verifying documentation provided by the officer to the Bergen County Sheriff's Office of Professional Standards. As a result of the subsequent investigation, on March 30, 2021, Officer PETER SERVIDIO was charged with Forgery, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:21-1a(2), a 4th degree crime. He was also suspended from his duties as a Sheriff's officer. SERVIDIO is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Bergen County Prosecutor Musella states that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would also like to thank the Bergen County Sheriff's Office for its assistance in this investigation.
