Title: Petroleum Products Loader Company: Marathon Petroleum Company LP Location: St. Paul Park, MN Marathon Petroleum Company LP, a major petroleum refiner and marketer, is hiring for temporary Petroleum Product Loaders to join our team. This position works with and around petroleum products and is responsible for all operating aspects of truck, railcar, and barge loading at the St. Paul Park refinery. This position is critical in blending, distributing and delivering quality products in a safe, reliable and competitive manner. This is a position to temporarily replace workers who are currently striking at the St Paul Park Refinery. This position will require shift work, callouts, and overtime may be required, which would include after business hours and on weekends and holidays. This position will be provided with continuous training to develop job related skills. A successful person in this position will be collaborative, reliable, motivated, and prioritize safety. Key Responsibilities • Loading and Unloading petroleum products from trucks, railcars, and barges • Serving on the refinery’s emergency response team • Sampling petroleum products • Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of truck, rail, and barge loading racks and other facility equipment • Stair climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, and often working outdoors Education/Experience • High school diploma or GED • Ability to learn basic computer skills • Ability to perform basic math and ability to document and maintain accurate records • Ability to learn mechanical and electrical systems • Experience as an industrial emergency medical responder (EMR) or industrial emergency medical technician required • Experience working in an industrial setting preferred Petroleum Product Loaders work in a safety-sensitive environment and must successfully complete a rigorous pre-employment assessment process, drug/alcohol and medical screenings, and a background check. To ensure safe operations, new hires must also successfully complete operator qualification training and participate in random drug and alcohol screenings.
