Work begins on turf field, track at Shepard

Description

Heavy machinery moved onto the grass field at Shepard High School this week -- no more home games for the Astros this academic year, but all for a good cause. Crews started the removal of grass and soil in preparation for the installation of a new turf field and track. The new surfaces will be ready for the start of sports this coming fall.
