Description
When reaching out to a potential seller never share personal information with them. These scam artist are getting clever. This is how it works:
Step 1: you reach out inquiring about an animal for more information. They want your phone number.
Step 2: they want to verify that you are a real person because “there’s a lot of scams on Craigslist”
Step 3: they send you a Google voice verification code to “prove you’re a human” DO NOT GIVE THEM THIS CODE!!
I called the person out and they stopped messaging me immediately. If someone is legit they should be able to give you more information without all the bull crap. I’ll post a screenshot about the scam in the photos.
Just remember, Craigslist requires you to prove that you’re a human to get someone’s contact information. Don’t fall for this crap. Also never send money to someone you don’t know. Meet in person in a public place 😊 stay safe out there.
