31 Inpatients Hospitalized With Coronavirus At Edward Hospital

NAPERVILLE, IL — Edward Hospital is treating 31 inpatients with confirmed cases of coronavirus as of Tuesday, according to an email from hospital spokesperson Keith Hartenberger. This is slightly more than the numbers reported on April 13, when the hospital was treating 25 coronavirus inpatients. On March 23, seven coronavirus patients had been in treatment at Edward Hospital. The most recent numbers still reflect a notable decrease compared to the end of 2020. As of Dec. 28, 2020, Edward Hospital was treating 57 coronavirus inpatients. Hartenberger added that no patients died from coronavirus within the past 24 hours. Two coronavirus inpatients were discharged from Edward Hospital within the past 24 hours. Since March 24, 2020, 2,082 inpatients have been treated for coronavirus and discharged from Edward Hospital.
