Growing Berries in Florida

Given Florida’s mild climate, gardeners throughout the state can grow a wide variety of tasty berries in the garden. The Gardens’ Executive Director and author of Florida Fruits and Berries by Cool Springs Press will help class participants discover many kinds of berries for Florida including blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and more exotic berries such as goji berries and miracle fruit.
Robert Bowden is the Director of Leu Gardens and author of Florida Top Ten Garden Guide by Sunset Books and Florida Fruit and Vegetable Gardening: Plant, Grow, and Harvest the Best Edibles by Cool Springs Press.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request.
Participants.must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
