'Mile Of Cars' Could Get Tesla Dealership

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — One of Libertyville's main sources for tax revenue may soon welcome another key player. Electric carmaker Tesla is looking at opening its second Lake County dealership in the former Gregory Infiniti location, 1121 S. Milwaukee Avenue, along the towns' Miles of Cars, the Daily Herald is reporting. Vehicle sales has long brought in a substantial source of tax revenue for the village. Gregory Infiniti left the space empty after moving to and building a new dealership nearby, and village Economic Development Coordinator Heather Rowe told the Daily Herald the building has since been sold. Tesla representatives have applied for building permits, according to the article.
