ELMHURST, IL — With 73 new cases in the last week, Elmhurst experienced a drop in its coronavirus rate, according to the DuPage County Health Department. As of Sunday, the city had 4,174 cases, a 1.8 percent increase from the week before. The previous week, it was 2.5 percent. The number of those who have recovered is unavailable. As of Sunday, the number of coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst increased by two in the last week, to 65. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1.6 percent.
