My name is George and I’m in Bethlehem. Want to play and sing in a band? When I retired, seven years ago, I decided to learn guitar. I’M STILL LEARNING. I also learned to make recordings with the Garage Band software on my iPad. It is a great hobby and I still love doing it, but now I WANT TO LEARN TO SING AND PLAY WITH OTHERS... I don’t have experience playing in a band, I’m not a great musician, and my singing voice is just OK. But I want to see if I can do it. MAYBE YOU DO TOO... I have recruited a bass player. He is retired too, SO WE WANT TO PLAY ONCE A WEEK IN THE AFTERNOON. We have a place to play. Our goal is to get good enough to play at open mic venues and then see what happens... I like to sing as much as I like to play. No, that’s not correct; I like to sing MORE than I like to play. That’s why I want at least one player who can sing with me. Two (or more) singers would be even better... We have a “set list.” About 20 songs. It’s a mix of pop, country, bluegrass, and what they call “roots” music or “Americana.” I’m a fan of Old Crow Medicine Show, Levon Helm, the Lumineers, Mandolin Orange, the Tillers, Foghorn String Band, etc...
