Coronavirus Vaccine Event Planned For Rolling Meadows

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL — If you're a resident of Rolling Meadows and still looking for a coronavirus vaccine appointment, you might soon be in luck. In partnership with Jewel/Osco and the Rolling Meadows Community Church, the city is announced recently it has secured 1,100 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for residents only. The vaccination event for the first dose is scheduled for 8 a.m.-2 p.m. April 27 at Rolling Meadows Community Church, 2720 Kirchoff Road. The second dose will be given between 8 a.m.-2 p.m. May 18 at the same location. Residents must be able to attend both dates. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, on the following dates. 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, April 22: Appointments will be taken for residents 65 years and over only, by calling 847-497-5505.8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, April 23: Appointments will be taken for residents 16 and over, by calling 847-497-5505.Appointments are required and walk-up registration is not available, according to a news release from the City of Rolling Meadows. Residents will be turned away if they do not have an appointment. Showing up any more than 15 minutes prior to the appointment time will result in a cancellation of the appointment time. Residents who receive an appointment should bring the following to their appointment: Completed consent form. The form will be attached to the appointment confirmation email. If you are un able to print, you can pick one up in advance at City Hall or at the event.Photocopy of valid ID, driver's license or state ID (limited copying available at event)Photocopy of medical/prescription insurance card, if applicable. (This is not required to be eligible for the appointment, but if you do have coverage, please bring a copy.)16-17 year-olds who receive a vaccine must have a parent present. Please bring a photo ID and birth certificate to show proof of age. Organizers are asking attendees to wear a short-sleeved shirt or other clothing that will allow easy access to the upper arm for the vaccination as no private changing areas will be available. There will be signs and volunteers at the Rolling Meadows Community Church directing residents where to park and enter the facility for their vaccination appointment.
