Employee Accused Of Recording Customers In Restroom Of Restaurant

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL — An Arlington Heights man is accused of recording customers in the public restroom of a Rolling Meadows restaurant he was employed at. Juan Sixtega, 23, has been charged with a felony count of unauthorized video recording and live video transmission after detectives discovered multiple unlawful recordings were taken beginning in January at Sushi Station, 1641 W Algonquin Road. Police said most of the victims have been identified, but the recovered evidence may indicate additional victims from the ongoing investigation. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office told Patch bail for Sixtega was set at $10,000 Tuesday with special conditions, including no contact with any victims or Sushi Station. He is due back in court April 30 in Rolling Meadows. Sixtega was released after posting bond. Police said the owners of Sushi Station have fully cooperated with the investigation and have played a vital role in the identification of victims.
