CORNELIUS, NC — Three people were arrested in Cornelius last week, including one woman who was charged with attempting to break into a building, according to Cornelius Police Department. Six cases of fraud, two cases of theft and one vehicle break-in at Ramsey Creek Park were also reported to police. CPD also issued dozens of citations, many of which were for charges including speeding, and expired tags and registration, according to the police blotter. Arrests made by Cornelius Police Department between April 7 - April 13, 2021: Ricky Dale Sundgren, 50, was arrested April 8 on S. Ferry Street, charged with misdemeanor resisting a public officer Brittany Donnell Sherrill, 33, was arrested April 9 on Zion Avenue, charged with felony attempt to break or enter building; misdemeanor injury to real property; misdemeanor larceny Christian Allen Schiller, 32, was arrested April 12 on School Street, charged with felony assault by strangulation.
