Press release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools:
4/16/2021
Traditional college fairs can be a hassle to navigate with crowds and lines that take valuable time. Those headaches can be avoided by attending a virtual college fair. Held online, virtual college fairs allow students to connect with hundreds of colleges and universities from across the country, all within the comfort and safety of their homes.
The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is hosting a virtual fair on April 20. CMS school counselors Sandra Kindell and Jonathan Williams are part of the association and want students to know that they can find the right college even if they aren't meeting recruiters in person. Students will be able to hear about student life, majors, financial aid and scholarships. Plus, text chat with college counselors for answers to all of their questions. It's still an interactive experience, just in a different way.
"This is a good opportunity for our students to ask questions and learn more about colleges from all around the country," said Williams.
