Cobb Senior Centers To Reopen Monday

COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb Senior Services will begin welcoming more people back into its centers starting this week. Effective Monday, CSS will begin operating its centers Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the agency announced Thursday. CSS will also start adding more ongoing activities such as billiards, table tennis, bridge, needlework and wood carving. The gyms at all five multipurpose centers will be open once again as well. Registration is still required to participate in all activities, including using the gym. The centers' websites will show new activity offerings once they've been added. The multipurpose centers include Freeman Poole Senior Center; North Cobb Senior Center; Senior Wellness Center; Tim D. Lee Senior Center; and West Cobb Senior Center. Beginning Monday, May 3, registration for spring classes will open, too. Classes will begin May 10, and a list of classes offered at each center can be found on the centers' individual websites now. Registration for classes and all activities is only available by phone or online using My Active Center (MAC). Those who do not have an account with MAC are asked to call the center nearest to them for help.
