We are currently hiring staff members to service Sarasota Parks 2 Positions available. General Park Maintenance Duties but in a nut shell you will be cleaning public restrooms & removing trash from the parks. We have 1 route that is 64 hours per week, So we need to offer this as 2 positions, 1 full-time at 40 hours and 1 part-time at 24 hours per week although the hour allocation can be modified to suit applicants, i.e we could do 2 people 32 hours each, etc couples and teams encouraged to apply. x 7 Days a week - A day off can be arranged if the other applicant can cover that day's parks and vice-versa. Monday the busiest day, servicing the parks and restrooms from Sunday visitors. Morning work, very flexible on start time as long as the parks are taken care of in the mornings Please don't feel like you can't apply if you don't like the sound of 7 days a week or hours are too much, we can customize this route and hours for the right applicant! You will need the following to apply - This job will be unsupervised day to day, so you will need to have the passion & pride to ensure that your job is done every single day in order to satisfy a county contract & the parks are clean & pleasant for our visitors You will need to be able to work by yourself. You will be cleaning public restrooms & removing trash from the parks. You will be required to use your own vehicle for this route so a truck is recommended as you we have to haul trash from cans in the park to the dumpsters (dumpsters are at most park locations but you will need to transport bags of trash to next park / dumpster for some sites) Ideally, this job will include approx 6/7 am starts-flexible You will be given a route of county parks to service, these parks will be yours and it will be your job to ensure that the following items are checked and carried through every time your park requires a visit. The parks are cleaned in the mornings- trash cans emptied and new liners replaced, loose trash picked up. Playgrounds checked - racked and swept if needed Sidewalks are blown down Restroom cleaning and sanitization (all equipment and chemicals in order to carry out these tasks, and the following tasks will be provided) restock restroom supplies - hand soap, paper towels, toilet tissue(all provided by us) Sweep & mop restrooms Trash removal Loose trash policing and collection blow down basketball courts/tennis courts etc with a blower that we provide We offer a weekly direct deposit.
