WANTED – PORTER Action Kawasaki / Yamaha powersports dealer in Bradenton Florida is looking for a motivated, dependable and enthusiastic addition to our service department. The position we are looking to fill is Porter. Applicant must have these required skills: - ability to stand and work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions - ability to drive a forklift (we will train if necessary) - own tools necessary for work and have some mechanical knowledge - ability to read shop manuals and follow assembly instructions - attention to detail and ability to multi-task. - valid drivers license (motorcycle endorsement a plus!) - ability to lift 75 lbs - dependably clock in for work on time - applicant must be over the age of 18 Job duties include: - washing units ready for customer pick up - dealership and lot cleaning / upkeep. - arranging of units on lot using a forklift - organizing the warehouse - uncrate and build new units following manufacturer specifications - test ride new units after assembly completed - pick up and delivery of customer units using shop truck and trailer - assisting technicians locate and bring in units for repair - keeping shop organized Must possess the ability to multitask in a sometimes fast paced environment. All skill levels are welcome to apply but previous experience of at least 1 year working in a shop environment is preferred. This job is a great way to gain knowledge and hands-on experience working in a powersports shop for those interested in becoming a technician. This is a Full Time position, 8 hours per day / 40hrs per week with paid overtime opportunity.
