Weary Grandparents Seek to Hitch Ride on Erie Canal to Stop CMV

Do you boat portions of the Erie Canal? Although my husband and I are taking the Canalway Challenge of walking the 360-mile Erie Canalaway Trail to raise awareness of another "C" virus, cytomegalovirus (CMV)--the #1 birth defects virus,  we would love to boat one way through any of the locks along the active Erie Canal. I am the author of the book, Mystic Seafarer's Trail and you can "meet" me in the film, "Mystic Seafarers Trail" with undersea explorer Captain Bill Palmer. My current book project is tentatively titled, "Walking the Erie Canal Trail: Secrets of the 8th Wonder of the World, CMV and Pandemic Pizza".
