Job Fair Planned For East Bay Truck Drivers

OAKLAND, CA — Old Dominion Freight Line plans to hold an in-person job fair this Saturday to hire nine full-time employees. Some of the positions include a $5,000 signing bonus. Management will conduct interviews and make hiring decisions onsite, although truck driver applicants may have to return for a second round of interviews or a road test. Old Dominion is hiring because of business growth in the Oakland and San Francisco areas. The company is one of the largest less-than-truckload carriers in North America. Applicants are asked to bring a paper copy of their resume to the job fair. It will be held 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday at the company's service center, 8300 Pardee Drive, Oakland, 94621. Old Dominion is hiring more than 800 Class A CDL truck drivers nationwide to accommodate business growth.
