SMITHTOWN, NY — Smithtown High School East and Smithtown High School West's Family, Community and Career Leaders of America chapters recently competed in their first New York state virtual competition, the school district announced. Between the two Smithtown high schools, nine teams competed in these categories: early childhood education, event management, food innovation, interior design, hospitality tourism and recreation, nutrition and wellness, and teach and train. Students were guided by their advisers: Connie Smith and Jaclyn Fettinger from Smithtown High School East and Rachel Silsdorf from Smithtown High School West. Click here to read the full story.
