PHOENIX, AZ — A pedestrian was struck and killed near West McDowell Road and North 67th Avenue in Phoenix on Monday night, Phoenix Police said. The victim was identified as a 51-year-old man who died after being transported to a nearby hospital, according to police. The accident, which occurred on the 6500 block of West McDowell Road at around 9:45 p.m., involved a dark-colored pickup truck, which fled northbound on 67th Avenue after the crash, according to police. The pickup truck was traveling westbound on McDowell Road at the time of the crash, police said.
