TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa man is behind bars facing two counts of first degree sodomy after being accused of sexually abusing a child some number of years ago. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit's Sexual Assault Section obtained charges and arrested Clarence Albert Squires on Friday. He was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail with his bond set at $45,000. "The victim in this case, who is now an adult, worked along with the investigators to obtain charges for offenses committed when they were a child ... It took a great deal of courage for this victim to come forward at this time."
