Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Axe Attack On McFarland Boulevard

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Investigators are working to locate a man who reportedly attacked a man with a hatchet or tomahawk axe Friday afternoon. The Tuscaloosa Police Department says officers responded to a business in the 3100 block of McFarland Boulevard E. at 4:55 p.m., where they were told by a woman that she and the victim were traveling northbound on McFarland Boulevard when an acquaintance jumped from the passenger seat of a nearby vehicle and began to assault the man. Following the attack, the victim was hospitalized with head injuries that were serious but did not appear to be life-threatening, according to investigators.
