Seeking Live-In Nanny --- Private Furnished Room with Attached Bathroom in Redondo Beach + Weekly Stipend The qualities of the nanny we are looking for include: - Calm, Happy and with Positive energy - Can act as a partner with parents - Adaptable to change (due to changing needs of the kids and family) - Loves to read and learn new things - Organized, multi-tasking skills and excellent time management skills - Passionate about child development The job involves: Taking care of a 3-year-old and 4 1/2-year-old. You will be in charge of their schedule from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mom and Dad will be working from home but Mom will eventually go back into the office Sept 2021 or later. Vacation: Nanny will be given 10 paid vacation days per year Holidays: Nanny will be given the following 8 paid holidays annually: New Year’s Day (January 1st) Memorial Day (in May) Independence Day (July 4th) Labor Day (in September) Thanksgiving Day (in November) Day After Thanksgiving Day (in November) Christmas Eve (December 24th) Christmas Day (December 25th) CHILD CARE DUTIES: - Changing diapers - Potty training - Bathing, dressing - Kids laundry (clean and fold) and keeping the nursery organized - Walks/drives to the parks in the neighborhood, taking kids to play-dates and playgroups, classes, museums, etc. - Activities: Reading, arts & crafts, music, singing, dancing, beach, reading, writing, coloring - Other duties include: kids meal prep, kids laundry, keeping the kids play area & bedroom organized, transport kids to classes and school, light housekeeping - Kids meal preparation and healthy snacks - BONUS: Spanish and/or Mandarin or Cantonese speaking nanny LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING: - Kitchen should be kept cleaned after use - Dishes should be put in the dishwasher and run when full. - Kitchen sink should be empty and not full of dishes and pots/pans. - Microwave should be wiped down if soiled. - Kitchen countertop should be kept spotless and clutter-free at all times. - Diaper trash can is emptied when full. - Always put away children’s toys after play time - Dusting, sweeping and mopping the floor of the nursery and the kids’ play area if/when there is dust floating around. - Trash taken out when full OVERTIME AND TRAVEL: We are looking for a nanny who is willing to take on occasional additional childcare hours on evenings/weekends for additional compensation. We love to travel (domestically and internationally). We are looking for someone who is open and willing to join us on weekend trips and possibly one or two longer (1-2 week trips). We are looking for a nanny who is adventurous and does not mind going on adventure trips as well. While traveling with the family, we will pay for the nanny’s travel expenses (air tickets, meals, admission tickets, accommodation, etc). LIVING ARRANGEMENTS Nanny will be given a private furnished bedroom with an attached private bathroom. The room will also include a large screen TV hooked up to multiple streaming services. All utilities and internet will be provided, as well as, all meals. We eat mostly organic and healthy food, and enjoy a variety of cuisines. Bed and bath linens will be provided, however, Nanny is responsible for their upkeep, as well as personal laundry. We are a smoke-free home. Alcohol consumption is NOT permitted when Nanny is on duty. QUIET TIME AND PRIVATE TIME We will respect your private off-duty time. We will not intrude and will give you privacy while you are not on duty. The kids know not to knock on your door when you are in your room. We want to make sure you have a good work/life balance and work/life separation since you will be living with us. We will go the extra effort to ensure you have your privacy. COVID-19 RULES Nanny must take COVID safety measures including mask wearing, social distancing, and frequent hand sanitizing when outside the home and willing to get the vaccine when it’s available to you (we are already vaccinated). Last but not least, we will bend over backwards to make sure you are comfortable for the right fit. We will make sure you are completely taken care of, supported and happy in our house. We will treat you as family and we will commit to making sure you are learning, growing, developing and helping you achieve your life dreams. We will pay you a stipend of $500/week (negotiable). Any overtime will be paid at $15/hour. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: - Must have own car, valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport (for international travel).
