Description
Responsibilities:
• Identify and satisfy both internal (Service Department) and external (counter sales) customer needs. This is accomplished through full utilization of the automated software and inventory control system.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining an efficient level of service.
• Assist with parts management and ad hoc reporting.
• Study parts catalogs and price books to determine parts needs.
• Monitor high turn items to recommend ordering when stock is low.
• Recommend purchase quantities and receive product including the paperwork processing.
• Label and store parts in the stockroom according to a prearranged system.
• Supply service technicians with parts that were ordered through parts requisition forms.
• Process parts on daily customer sign out sheets for entry into work orders.
• Handle parts counter cash drawer and batch out daily.
• Operate forklift for movement of engines, parts and supply shipments.
• Keep parts and receiving area clean and shelf areas orderly.
• Assist with year end count of physical inventory.
• Assist with boat warranty as needed
Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of marine related equipment and associated parts and inventory.
• Aptitude or an inherent knowledge of engine repair and diagnosis.
• Ability to use books, internet and software programs to track and pick parts.
• Analytical and inquisitive thinker. Attention to detail.
• Energetic, organized, focused, possessing ability to multi-task and willingness to work as a team member.
• Experience in retail sales and customer service.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED accepted with appropriate experience.
