Underground Utility / Contract owners I am currently looking for efficient, safety minded, Contract owners. Applicants should have hands on experience in the construction industry as well as reliable transportation to get to and from job sites/office. Person(s) with special skills such as anything within the telecom industry, concrete finishing, electrical, are wanted. We offer a consistent work schedule and competitive pay. The ideal candidates can work with minimal oversight and able to follow directions closely. He or she should be familiar with construction safety standards and OSHA certifications are a plus. Required Skilled Laborer Responsibilities: • Dig pits, trenches and foundations in preparation for job site construction • Identify utility lines • Operate vehicles and possibly equipment, run missile, boring machines, compressors • Perform setup and cleanup tasks at a job site • Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew • Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary • Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew • Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles • Basic computer skills. • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills. • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and travel out of market when necessary. Desirable Qualifications: • Relevant industry experience • Certifications: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, C-7 • Identify building process. • Knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and safety requirements • High school diploma/GED preferred • 2+ years’ construction industry experience preferred • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle • Comfort working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
