Get a Better Job at Industrial Source and Make Things Happen! Industrial Source is now hiring a full time Warehouse Shipping & Receiving person to complete our Springfield Warehouse Team. Shift 7am-4pm Monday-Friday. Key Responsibilities: Stock and organize the warehouse for best efficiency and work flow, accurately receive incoming freight, prepare and process outgoing orders and shipments to customers and our 8 branches throughout Oregon while monitoring from start to finish, ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices. Other critical responsibilities include: •Maintain inventory control, ensuring physical movement of shipments align with electronic movement by use of computer and scanner technology, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records. •Pick order tickets from computer and pull both item and component orders; scanning all orders and accurately preparing for delivery. •Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, flag damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with responsible individuals to rectify damages and shortages. •Assist in planning logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items. •Operate handling equipment such as stretch wrap banding machine, pallet jack, hand truck, and forklift. •Maintain our company warehouse by organizing, cleaning and bin locating inventory on a regular basis. •Oversee and prepare USPS, UPS, common carrier, and all other third-party shipments, packing items to ensure safe delivery. and adherence to environmental and hazardous material handling requirements. •Provide shipping quotes to sales personnel as requested utilizing cost-effective logistic services. •Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments when necessary. •Assists with receiving and processing RMA’s as needed. •Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. •Assist with weekly inventory cycle counting. •Provide back-up customer service support to our retail sales. •Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety, and inventory control standards. Skills needed: Attention to detail, teamwork, exemplary customer care skills, troubleshooting, pro-active communication, organization, adaptability, and confidence in acting decisively in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment. Competence operating shipping and receiving software, inventory databases and scanner technology. We’re looking for a motivated, enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to prioritize own workload, work independently, and exercise independent decision-making. Dependability….the ability to arrive at work on time, each day, ready to work…is critical. Ability to lift/ move up to 50 pounds of material without assistance. Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance from others. Ability to pull, pack, stack and load inventory on a regular basis.
