Guitarist/singer seeks drummer for duo project

Indie/shoegaze/post-punk/Alt/Emo/garage Seeking a steady beat with a penchant for dynamics and space. Plan is to have fun playing shows and record as we go. I have a lot of material in various stages of completion. Sorry, but not interested in cover bands, instrumental acts, or hired-gun situations. ME: 30’s, plenty of gear and experience, focused, decent guitar player (not a shredder). YOU: Be at least an intermediate level drummer, be reliable, be willing to practice at least 1x per week, and be able to eventually play weekend shows and record. INFLUENCES: For this project, it would be a good idea to have some knowledge of and appreciation for most of the bands listed below: Amps, Appleseed cast, Band of Horses, Brand New, Deerhunter, Explosions in the sky, Granddaddy, Knapsack, Mercury rev, MBV, Nirvana, No Age, Pedro the lion, Pixies, QOTSA, Refused, Ride, Silversun p/u’s, Slowdive, Smashing pumpkins (early stuff), Elliott Smith, Smiths, Sonic youth, Strokes, SDRE, TBS, Telekinesis, White stripes, Yeah yeah yeahs.
