We are looking for a solid team member to join our water feature service business. We need individuals who want to be more than just a laborer and are willing to be in tune with our company goals and objectives. Our schedule is very busy, with consistent year round work. REQUIREMENTS • Driver's License and reliable vehicle with up to date registration and insurance (Required) Pickup truck gets bonus points for in-field positions • Willing to commute to all our services areas including but not limited to Cedar Park, Georgetown, Round Rock, Austin, Westlake, Lakeway, Bee Caves • A reliable smartphone and the ability to use it • Must have a clean and professional appearance, tattoos are okay • Must have a positive attitude and ability to think through and find ways to solve problems • Must have HONEST and excellent communication skills • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and be accountable for your performance • Continually add value to the organization beyond day-to-day tasks, doing more than the minimum requirement • Maintains a neat and clean jobsite, vehicles, and staging areas • Must be able to self manage and plan for jobs and not be babysat • A flexible mind willing to grow and expand • Be ready to contribute, discuss, and resolve whatever issue is at hand EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS • We prefer some experience in a skilled trade, preferably at least 2 years in landscaping. Other relatable trades include construction, plumbing, electrical, masonry, hardscaping, irrigation, horticulture, gardening, fish/aquarium, pool maintenance, low voltage lighting, etc. • In-field position requires ability to complete repetitive motions for long periods of time, bending, lifting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling and standing/stooping for long periods of time in adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, etc. • Great face-to-face customer service skills as you will be communicating with clients HOURS AND PAY In-field shifts are typically Monday – Friday 8:30-5:00 but we work until the job is done. If we are rained out during the week, we will make up for it on a Saturday. Additional Saturday work is usually available. Starting pay is $15-17+ per hour, full time, with fast pay raises based on production and new skills developed. Higher starting pay is based on experience and talents that you bring to the table. There is plenty of opportunity to learn and grow quickly. The goal is to get maintenance to a full time M-F position. It is your choice to work PART TIME or FULL TIME. MAINTENANCE The position involves removing debris from the ponds surface, keeping an eye on fish health, ensuring proper function of equipment and communicating regularly with customers under adverse field conditions. • Maintain Koi fish health, inspect for signs of stress or disease and add the proper water treatments • Remove leaves and debris from the pond, manage algae growth • Clean, inspect and service all pond or water feature equipment • Inspect for leaks or damage • Fertilize and treat plants and surrounding landscape • Converse with customers onsite about their concerns, questions and how they can proactively improve their pond's quality • Accurately maintain daily log sheets CLEAN OUTS The position involves draining ponds, fish handling, removing debris and sludge, and hand scrubbing under adverse field conditions. • Measure and use water treatments on water features • Move small and large fish to temporary holding tank • Hand scrubbing liner and rocks, spraying down liner, pressure washing • Trim or repot plants and remove debris with extreme attention to detail • Inspect all pond equipment, clean, repair or replace as needed REPAIRS / SERVICE TECH • Plumb and install skimmers, pumps, aerators, lights, filters, auto fills, etc. • Install and maintain various aeration and fountain systems • Minor plumbing and electrical repairs • Checking and repairing leaks in water features • Diagnosis of potential issues related to water clarity, water loss, reduced water flow, and other issues as they arise • Communicating with customers about troubleshooting, repair options, pricing and plan of action PLEASE SEND THE FOLLOWING INFO: 1.
