RE-HOME OUR PIT...... We are supporters of Haven Humane and after our 16 year old rescue girl passed we went to Haven......Our new girl is named Mattie, rescued last June, approximately 4 years old, 60-65 pounds........A lot of dog, very loving and active......We have worked with her, taken her to a professional dog handler, have come to a point where the basic behaviors are good: sit, stay, down, come, bed. She is a lot of dog, very loving, smart, easy to train, we basically love her very much. She is a brown/blue pit, spayed, as per the breed muscular, but is very focused on people, she is a sweetheart. During Covid, we have moved Sally's mother age 92 into our house permanently. An active dog and a 4' 9” lady on a walker hasn't worked well. She has fallen due to the dog, the dog didn't do anything wrong.....it is the nature of an active dog with a limited mobility person. If you are a pit person or family, this dog is designed to be a family pet, not a macho statement for acquaintances. We have beds, crate, collars, toys, bones, long line, etc. that would go with her.
