In the spirit of transparency, here are the cons and pros of junk removal. CONS: It can/will be VERY dirty work. Some of the removal jobs we do, you will see and smell things that will churn your stomach. You'll work in all types of weather in all types of conditions! Texas summer days are hot and long! You will work out in the hot sun and in the cold/rain. Shifts can be long, up to 12hrs in a day. You will frequently lift and move items that weigh more than 100lbs. We really want to reiterate, that this work can be HARD! Carrying heavy or gross items, up and downstairs, through people's homes or places of business to the back of our dump trucks is what we do. We like to work smart, so tools are provided and we are always open to better/more effective methods, but again, sometimes the only way to get an oversized sleeper sofa down a flight of stairs without damaging a client's property is by hand. Must take a defensive driving course within 3 weeks of being hired (Drivers and Navigators) Must not have a problem with “getting dirty” (this is junk removal after all!) Condensed Job Description Team Lead(Pilots) A team lead’s job is first and foremost, vehicle safety. Getting you, your navigator, and the truck from point A to point B in the safest most efficient manner possible is your absolute most important goal. Your secondary duty is to provide TRENDSETTING junk removal service with an engaging, friendly (smile, eye contact, small-talk) and welcoming attitude. We want our customers to RAVE about how awesome you are!(this also helps with your tips!) You will provide estimates, bill invoices, accept/process payments, assist in removing junk from our client’s homes and places of business with care, all while following all safety procedures. Navigator(Co-pilots) A Navigator’s job is to be the navigator of the truck. You provide the directions, setup GPS, contact the clients, review and execute the daily schedule and route. Your secondary duty is to provide TRENDSETTING junk removal service with an engaging, friendly (smile, eye contact, small-talk) and welcoming attitude. We want our customers to RAVE about how awesome you are!(this also helps with your tips!) You will provide estimates, bill invoices, assist in removing junk from our client’s homes and places of business with care, all while following all safety procedures.
