Selling pets on Craigslist is actually prohibited. In Craigslist's terms of use section, it says pet sales are prohibited. The site does allow what is called a rehoming fee, though a small charge to put their pet in a new home. Rehoming Fee? When rehoming a pet to someone you don't know, it is common to charge a rehoming fee. On average, this can range from $25 to $100. A rehoming fee can help you recoup charges for vaccinations, spaying, and neutering, and help cover your expenses. Section 828.29, Florida Statutes, provides that each dog or cat offered for sale within the state must be accompanied by a current Official Certificate of Veterinary, which must be administered in this state once before sale. Mixed dogs are great pets, but they are NOT high in value so don't over pay, Just because someone gives it a tricky name. LOOK OUT FOR THE PUPPY MILLS!!!!! There are a lot on here... Also If you give away a dog or puppy MAKE SURE you get the person driver license number and complete name and address, that way you can check to see if the dog is in a safe place, just stop by! That way you stop the Dog Fighters from using your INNOCENT dog from being used as a bait dog! The dog fighters and puppy mills will flag this!
