Seeking gardening assistant 20-30 hours a week / 3-4 days a week / $10hr (start, based on experience) Hours and days are generally 10am - 5pm, M-Th but can vary due to weather (This could be flexible for the right person) *Work is NOT mow-blow-go or heavy landscaping* Strongly prefer basic experience with: -Weeding (weed identification) -Pruning -Planting / plant, shrub, tree removal -Flower, Plant, Shrub & Tree care -And/Or aggressive learner - youtube can teach a lot Bonus for: -Bilingual (Spanish / English) would be great! perfect English is not necessary. at one point i spoke ok Spanish and would like to learn again. -Strong sense of humor / you are funny -Sense of design, eye for detail Required: -Organization/ focus/ complete task with minimal oversight -Can work as a team unit, anticipating needs next steps (with some time and experience working together) -Respect for yourself and others (courteous, polite & thoughtful - but no-ones servant) If you are interested please contact me with the following: -quick description of experience -why you are interested (be honest) -availability (work hours, days, for how long- summer/fall, year round) -contact info Additional Information: This could lead to a solid opportunity of position & business development. I have had a great experience developing clients with current co-worker/ assistant however she's leaving this month (this is positive! for her and I am very happy for her opportunity!) and I would like to see if someone can step into that role. 90% of my clients are year-round/ retainer, great people, located in the downtown area, expect and appreciate good-excellent work. I am currently turning clients away without a solid team of people to work with and have more work than I would like to take on alone. If you are interested in horticulture, gardening, a student at State, mature High school Student or similar this is a great opportunity. Please keep in mind, if you are not use to working outside- being a professional gardener is not the same as loving your own garden. The work is beautiful, its also hot, humid, bugs, ichy, long days crawling on the ground pulling weeds and dirt is involved! so you will get dirty.... :) you will also get a good tan!
