Want to work in a high pace, fulfilling doggie daycare, boarding & grooming facility? Come join our pack at Playful Pet Resort! We are looking to fill 2 positions (general labor/customer service & kennel tech/play yard marshal) at Playful Pet Resort to help us continue to provide an excellent experience for our pups and pet parents. Both positions require that you are a self-starter, work efficiently and be able to multitask. We are open from 7AM to 6:30PM. Our current needs are for an additional +/- 50 labor hours a week - full time, part time, evening and weekend schedules are available. **General Labor/Customer Service: WE REQUIRE EXCELLENT PEOPLE AND COMPUTER SKILLS. YOU MUST HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH DOGS. BEYOND THAT, WE WILL TRAIN EVERY STEP ALONG THE WAY! Our work hours are flexible with set and rotating schedules available. You will get dirty, but Playful Pets has a fun, relaxed working atmosphere. Must be capable of handling dogs of all age and sizes. Pay $9-11+ DOE. Uniforms provided. Benefits available for full-time staff (30+ hrs/week) and raise reviews every 45 days. Resumes without this paragraph will be discarded. **KENNEL TECH/PLAY YARD MARSHAL position requires understanding dog body language, being able to lean over and carry at least 30lbs. The position consists of setting up & cleaning out kennels, feeding our overnight guests & supervising small - medium group (6-12 dogs at a time) play yards. We will train you to identify different dog personalities and their needs. Must be able to work independently and with others. You may also be asked to pitch in giving bathes, cutting nails and brushing out a variety of breeds of dogs at busy times. This position has significant room for growth as you gain experience within our style of pet care. You must be able to develop the ability to: • Learn our simple pet management software. •Identify a potential crisis, correct the situation and be able to handle the situation effectively and delicately with clients and pets. • Be able to work on your own once fully trained • Effectively communicate with clients and demonstrate superior customer service skills • Demonstrate a committed, positive work ethic and attitude • Establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with co-workers A big plus is a knowledge of: • Microsoft Word and Excel and basic computer applications • Animal behavior and basic veterinary skills • Acceptable practices of animal care and handling • Dog body language Physical Abilities: • Lift and carry at least 30 lbs • Physically handle strong dogs which may jump up on, drag, or pull back against their the leash • Act quickly in stressful situations • Stand for extended periods of time Pay $10 - $12/hr DOE with a raise review every 45 days.
