Job Description AMD is looking to add a Remediation/Mold Removal Technician to our team of hard-working, dedicated staff! AMD is an environmental remediation and mold removal company specializing in the healthcare industry. 99% of our projects require travel to states on the East Coast and into the Mid-West. Most projects will include weekend hours and work is conducted at night when patients and staff of the healthcare facility are not present. Projects are usually anywhere from 2 to 14 days. Travel expenses including meals, hotels and transportation are paid for by the Company. Experience in the remediation/restoration/construction industries is a plus but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person for this position. PLEASE NOTE: If you cannot travel out of state, please do not apply. Responsibilities would include but are not limited to: Proper demolition including carefully working around electrical & plumbing if necessary Proper use and care in using power tools, restoration equipment, air scrubbers, etc. Proper use of EPA registered disinfectants to include cleaning in a safe, effective manner Proper use of PPE to include respirators (half-face and N95’s), suits, booties, gloves, goggles Working effectively and cohesively with team but also having the ability to be able to work alone in an assigned area, work independently and meet deadlines set by your Project Manager Following instruction and maintaining a strong attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and to respond to managers in a timely manner Ability to work hard as this is a labor-intensive position Must Have’s: Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Ability to pass a background check (as it relates to employment) and occasional drug screenings Ability to travel – there is NO exception Ability to read scope of work for project Ability to read, write, speak English language/Bilingual is a plus Ability to use such items as phone application for tracking time, GPS, etc. Ability to life at least 50 lbs. Candidate should be in good, physical condition. No Smoking allowed at the workplace and this includes our warehouse and the healthcare facilities. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
