Job Position: Frame Maker Company Description Christopher Company is a picture frames manufacturer located in Northeast Philadelphia. We're a family owned business operating for over 40 years and serve artists, frame shops, galleries, and commercial clients. We produce high quality contemporary picture frames made of solid wood. Job Description This position is for someone who is seeking long-term work. Woodworking and finishing experience will shorten the learning curve, but is not necessary to qualify. An eagerness to learn, work hard, and use your hands, tools and equipment are the foundation to succeeding in this position. Depending on experience, skill level, and preference will determine which area of frame making you ultimately work in, but for those newer to the trade, an opportunity to engage in all the steps of production will be provided. Duties and Responsibilities - Understanding the basics of picture frames. - Building frames from raw moulding and lumber to a ready to use product. - Ripping, planing, sanding and cutting lumber and mouldings. - Finishing by spraying and staining joined frames. - Maintaining quality throughout the production process - Ensuring orders are completed according to schedule. - Packing and shipping finished products. - Moving and organizing materials within the warehouse. - Maintaining an organized work space. Qualifications - Must be able to use and read a tape measure. - Able to lift at least 40lbs. - Basic computer skills. - Effective at working independently and also in a team environment. - Other important skills include: effective communication, attention to detail, good organizational skills, integrity, and a strong work ethic. **ATTENTION - To apply and be considered for this position please do the following: - Reply to the email with a copy of your resume. - Provide answers for these 2 questions: 1.
