Arway Linen In Need of Help in Our Laundry Sorting Department

The Soil (Laundry Sorting) Department is responsible for sorting the used products that come back from our customers and assisting drivers with the unloading of their trucks. Products are sorted by hand and placed into bins that are rolled into the Wash Department to be laundered. Responsibilities for this department may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Familiarizing oneself with all available products • Sorting products by type, color, and size • Staging carts based on demand • Moving rolling carts weighing up to 250 pounds • Lifting bags of used linen weighing up to 50 pounds • Climbing up and down from the back of delivery trucks There are no special certifications needed and prior experience is not required (but is helpful). Current rate of pay $10 - $12 hourly based on experience Hours are currently Part-Time (up to 30 hours) but may become full time (up to 40 hours) in the near future Benefits: •After 30 days of employment, all employees are able to join the local union and are eligible for all available paid holidays •After 60 days employees are eligible for Health, Dental, and Life insurance at no cost (except for copays for doctor visits and prescriptions) •After 1 year of employment, employees are eligible for paid Sick, Personal, and Vacation days About us: Arway Linen is a family owned and operated linen business in the Frankford neighborhood, we have been serving bars, restaurants, country clubs, retirement homes, and caterers in the tri-state area for over 40 years.
