Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will maintain the day-to-day operations and assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the studio and home office properties. **This position will require up to 90% travel within the Tampa area with occasional travel to the Naples/Fort Myers area** Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Responsible for maintenance repairs and general facility maintenance tasks for assigned fitness studios in the area of: • Fitness equipment repair • Plumbing • Lighting systems • Painting • Patching/fixture repairs • Caulking and carpentry, when needed • Sheetrock repair • Provide quality and timely repairs of studio ventilation and air conditioning • Diagnosis building/energy management systems for errors • Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors • Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled • Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned • Complete grounds work as directed by General Manager which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas • Responsible for alerting the General Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines • Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner • Ability to lift up to 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly • Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined Education, Experience, and Qualifications: • High school diploma; or equivalent work experience • Minimum of two years’ experience with lighting, roofing, and electrical service calls • Valid driver’s license and solid transportation for daily travel with insurance, required • Ability to travel throughout the Tampa, FL area with occasional travel to Naples/Fort Myers area • Experience in gym/facilities maintenance, preferred • Experience preventative maintenance
