The City is currently accepting applications for our Park Attendant I/II classification. These positions will specifically be assigned to our Boat Ramp operations as Boat Ramp Attendants.
The Boat Ramp is a seasonal operation, 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m - 6:00 p.m.
Examples of Duties:
• All Park positions require a disposition that allows effective and positive interaction with the public as required by the position.
• Collect and record fees at City boat ramp, campground, municipal golf course, etc.
• Deal effectively with the public, both in person and on the phone; and perform other related duties as required.
• Maintain general appearance of beaches; campground; golf course; landscaping; athletic fields; buildings; and facilities.
• Duties may include trash collection; restroom cleaning; litter pick up; mowing; weed eating; painting; plumbing; and perform other related duties as required.
• May be required to perform a wide variety of manual, semi-skilled, and skilled tasks in the construction and repair of park and community facilities including irrigation systems, restrooms, playing fields, tennis courts, park grounds, structures, medians and related facilities; set up park for special events; and provide support to various departments.
• Specific boat ramp duties include; ensuring safe and efficient launch and retrieval of multiple water craft in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with aquatic invasive species rules and guidelines, responsibly collecting appropriate fees from users, and accounting for all seals, and passes sold.
• May be assigned to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to a maintenance position in campground, Lakeview Commons, and Boat Ramp.
• Possession of a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record is mandatory.
