Description

Learn carpentry skills and how to build your own cold frame! Get hands-on power tool experience while helping to build two cold frames for Gardens of Millvale. What is a cold frame? A miniature greenhouse, built of cedar wood, for starting seeds in the late winter and early spring. You'll have a chance to use and learn to safely use compound miter saws, circular saws, table saws, power drills, and speed squares. You’ll leave the workshop with a design, plus all the know-how and confidence you need to build your own cold frames, raised beds, and more! This workshop is funded by a generous grant from Neighborhood Allies. This event is free (with a $5 deposit, which will be returned to all attendees). If Eventbrite isn’t accessible to you, call 412-822-7081 to register by phone or email [email protected]. Sign up is open to all - come join the Millvale Tool Library and Gardens of Millvale in learning exciting new skills, and find out what tools are available for you to check out from the library for free!
