We are looking for a thorough and dedicated professional housekeeper with excellent cleanliness standards to clean our synagogue and home. The goal is to keep our facilities impeccably clean and organized. This is a part time position, 25-30 hours/week. The hours are generally Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., with some variance/flexibility. Paid time off (vacation, sick pay) and year-end bonus are accumulated. Starting pay rate is $11/hour with potential up to $13 depending on performance/merit. All equipment and cleaning solutions are provided. Responsibilities Pick up and put away / sort toys, books, and laundry Sort and fold clean laundry Sweep and mop floors (tile and laminate) Load / unload automatic dishwasher and wash some dishes by hand Clean and sanitize all surfaces with appropriate product, including but not limited to: granite and laminate counters, glass stove top, stainless steel appliances, leather couches, tables and chairs Clean windows and glass sliding doors Clean and sanitize bathrooms Dust ceiling fans and bookcases Maintain equipment in good condition Report on any shortages, damages or security issues Check stocking levels of all cleaning and bathroom supplies, and report any shortages Skills / Requirements Passion for cleanliness and organization, attention to detail Professional cleaning / housekeeping experience Willingness to take direction and respond to requests in a timely and friendly manner Dedication to punctual arrival, reliable transportation Occasional availability to work overtime or on weekends, on an as needed basis Ability to work independently and remain motivated, focused on the job. No talking/texting on cell phone while working Prioritization and time management skills Willingness to submit to criminal background and drug tests Knowledge of English language (bilingual a plus) High school diploma or equivalent Job Type: Part-time Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
