Hidden Social Rules for Teens with Autism
This 10-week course will focus on social skills in a group setting. Social situations can feel mysterious or tricky to navigate―and if you are on the autism spectrum, they can feel overwhelming. There are hundreds of hidden social rules which create confusion for children with ASD, though these social rules seem obvious to everyone else. Parents worry and children are disheartened when they are rejected by their peer groups. Truly, the mystery of socialization can lead to anxiety, depression, and poor self-esteem in children with Asperger’s Disorder and interfere with future goals for employment.
Time: 1:00pm - 2:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
